Over the course of this series, we have traveled through seven energy centers â from the root at the base of the spine to the crown at the top of the head. Each one governs a different part of how a person experiences life â physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
The root holds survival and security. The sacral holds identity and creativity. The solar plexus holds personal power and self-esteem. The heart holds love and forgiveness. The throat holds communication and honest expression. The third eye holds intuition and clarity. And the crown holds connection to something larger than ourselves.
Knowing this map changes what a person can do with a difficult day. Instead of saying "I feel terrible" and stopping there, it becomes possible to ask a more specific question. Where in the body is this showing up? Is this a security fear, sitting low in the gut? Is this a heart wound, tight across the chest? Is this a throat issue â something that needs to be said but has not been?
That awareness is the first skill. The second is knowing that these energy centers are not fixed. They open and close based on what a person thinks, believes, and does. Fresh air and movement shift energy. Intentional breathing shifts energy. Choosing words carefully â both the ones spoken aloud and the ones repeated silently â shifts energy. These are not abstract ideas. They are practical, daily choices.
There is also something worth being honest about. A person can read every book, try every philosophy, follow every program â but in the end, the work that matters most is the work done on the inside. Making peace with oneself. Choosing to be present rather than reactive. Choosing to give rather than guard.
And this is exactly where inquiry enters. Throughout this series, we have noticed the same pattern at every energy center. Underneath the fear, the low self-esteem, the closed heart, the silence, the confusion â there are thoughts. Specific, stressful, believable thoughts. "I am not safe." "I am not enough." "No one cares." "Nothing I do matters."
These thoughts are not facts. They are stories â often carried for years, repeated so often they feel like
permanent truth. But a story that has never been questioned is not the same as a story that is true. And every one of those stories can be met with four honest questions and turned around.
That is the work ahead. The energy centers show a person where to look. Inquiry shows them what to do when they get there.
