The second center is called the sacral chakra. The color is orange, the element - Water. It's located a couple of inches below our belly button. This center relates to our self: creativity, relating to others, setting appropriate boundaries for ourselves, interactions with others, and how we see ourselves in the world.
We are taking on our own personal identity, our own personal self, how we want to be perceived in the world, how we want to look and act.
We start stepping away from the family and creating our life. Now, in this center, if it's afflicted, people can dominate you. It might feel like you can't make decisions or take responsibilities, when you don't own this energy.
When a person struggles from this energy center, there are fears around money. Just a lot of fear going on in your life. You don't trust yourself, that kind of thing.
When it's open, though, you can have a great time, creating how you want to be perceived, how you want to look, navigating the world with ease.
So it's a very, very creative chakra where you're stepping away from family and you're deciding your preferences, your career choices, your relationships.
Questions to examine: is this is the job you want to do? Are these the kind of hobbies you want? You start choosing friends that you want to hang out with more. You start selecting what you want in your personal life.
When a genuine effort is made to open up the second chakra, a different perspective is gained. Personal decisions one makes when traveling through the chakras sets the personal compass's "northstar" for life.
Our own interests are always going to be different. This is where you can become very creative and imaginative. If this chakra is closed and people are taking power away from you, you can expect to notice that as well, and perhaps struggle with it.
The body notices the rise and fall of feelings and emotions from the first chakra and the second chakras, the first and second energy centers. They affect your physical body.
Theyβre so closely related, so earthly, tied together, that the symptoms, physical symptoms and emotional symptoms are known to respond in similar ways.
This is where we do our hard work. This is where we get down where the rubber hits the road, where we decide what we really want. Are we just coasting? Are we going to start making some decisions that serve us to have a better quality life? A more genuine, honest life?
If a person is not living an honest life in this particular energy centers, they could be lying to themselves, or believing false beliefs that could be questioned rather than avoided.
Sitting in meditation and then writing down the feelings that come from this energy center can reveal some important information regarding our stressful thoughts.
